Accessibility Information

We want our online shop to be usable by everyone. On this page we describe what we
offer, explain how to use it, and set out how we meet the legal accessibility
requirements.

This information applies to the website www.gottseidank.com
including the online shop provided there, offered by
Gottseidank GmbH & Co. KG, Schleißheimer Straße 263, 80809 Munich,
Germany
.

What we offer

On this website you can browse our clothing range, add items to your basket and
place a binding order. We provide product images, sizing details, material
information and care instructions, as well as information on shipping, payment and
your right of withdrawal.

A customer account is possible but not required — you can also order as a guest.
The website is available in German and English.

This information page itself is designed to be accessible: structured text with
headings, no images carrying text, reachable by keyboard and resizable.

How to use the shop

  • Using the site without a mouse: The entire website can be
operated by keyboard. Use the Tab key to move from element to element,
Shift+Tab to move back, and Enter or Space to activate. Your current position
    is always visibly outlined.
  • Straight to the content: The first Tab press on any page takes
you to the “Skip to content” link, which bypasses the navigation.
  • Menu, search and language selection: These open by keyboard
and close with the Escape key. Your keyboard position then returns to the
    element that opened them.
  • Image galleries: Carousels are operated with the arrow keys.
Product images can be enlarged with the Enter key.
  • Videos: Videos start muted and contain no spoken information,
so no content is lost to you. The control bar lets you manage sound, playback
    and full screen.
  • Forms and ordering: Every field has a label and required
fields are marked. If something is missing, the error is stated in plain
language, tied to the field concerned, and announced automatically by screen
    readers.
  • Magnification: You can enlarge the page to 200 % and use it
from a width of 320 pixels without scrolling sideways.

How we meet the accessibility requirements

The applicable standard is the German Accessibility Strengthening Act
(Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) together with its implementing regulation,
which refer to the European standard EN 301 549 and thereby to the
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Among other things, we have implemented the following:

  • Perceivable: All informative images have alternative text.
Text and controls meet the required contrast values. The page structure is
exposed programmatically through headings and landmarks.
  • Operable: Every function can be reached by keyboard, with no
point at which the keyboard position becomes trapped. The order follows the
reading order, and the current position is always visible.
  • Understandable: Form fields are permanently labelled,
mandatory entries are marked, and errors are explained in plain language.
Before completing an order you can review and correct all your details.
  • Robust: Controls expose their name, role and state to
assistive technology. Status messages such as “Item added to basket” are
announced automatically without moving you away from your position.

High contrast mode

Parts of our design place text and controls over image and video areas whose
background changes as you scroll or as the video plays. To ensure contrast is
guaranteed there at all times, we offer a high contrast mode.

At the bottom of every page, in the right-hand menu area, you will find the
“High contrast” button. When it is switched on, the following applies
across the whole website:

  • The navigation is given an opaque background.
  • Text over images and videos is shown in black on a white panel.
  • Controls over image areas are shown in black with a light outline.

In this mode all content meets the contrast requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The
setting is remembered and applies to all further page views until you switch it off
again. The button itself is reachable by keyboard and is displayed with sufficient
contrast in the standard design as well.

If you have turned on “Increase Contrast” or “Reduce
Transparency”
in your operating system — for example under Accessibility on
iOS and macOS — high contrast mode is switched on automatically. You
do not need to do anything else. You can still switch it off at any time using the
button in the footer; your own choice takes precedence over the system setting.

Payment methods

For card payments we embed the input fields of our payment provider
Stripe; their design is outside our control. If you would rather not
or cannot use those fields, the advance payment method is available
during checkout, which does not require them.
